Great artists give free concerts at New England Conservatory—simply because they teach here.

"Baritone Michael Meraw show[s] great vocal cut and thrust, in addition to contributing a stiking stage presence"
—Opera Canada

New England Conservatory's Michael Meraw is an active voice teacher, director, creator, and performer of opera and classical music. His ecclectic repertoire has blossomed over time and by way of his work with various organizations, including the McGill Symphony Orchestra, the Thunderbay Symphony, and various other established opera and orchestral groups across North America.

Tonight's performance comprises Robert Schumann's Kerner Lieder Op. 35 and the Heine settings from Franz Schubert's Schwanengesang. NEC collaborative piano and voice departments' Tanya Blaich will accompany Meraw for a recital that will showcase the baritone's deep understanding of such classic and definitive works.
