NEC says "Thank you, Boston" with the 11-concert "NEC Prep Presents" series. Free admission to these concerts by senior Prep ensembles marks our gratitude for community support of NEC's Campus Redevelopment Plan.

Michael Mucci, now in his 13th season as Massachusetts Youth Wind Ensemble Director, leads this exceptional ensemble of high school wind and brass players. Under his leadership, MYWE has performed in the National Band Festival at Carnegie Hall, toured Central Europe with performances in Budapest, Vienna, and Prague, and was featured as part of "Winds Across the Century," a nationwide wind symposium at New England Conservatory.

MYWE has also shared the stage with the Metropolitan Winds and the Boston College Wind Ensemble at the Metropolitan Winds Music Festival, performed at the National Music Educators All Eastern Conference in Providence, Rhode Island, and toured Italy, performing concerts in Florence, Naples, Rome, and the Vatican City, where they played for Pope John Paul II. More recently, MYWE performed for enthusiastic audiences in England, Wales, and Scotland, on their 2006 summer tour, in 2008 in Spain and Portugal, and in 2010 in Germany and Austria.
