He's more than a bunch of symphonies and songs. Even those are not what you think. And although the music stopped with his death in 1911—100 years later, his time is now. During four months of concerts, jam sessions, conversation, and film, free your mind about what Mahler really means.

What would a concert of Mahler’s music look like today, if he were producing the show? Perhaps it would sound something like Mahler Remixed. This immersive concert is a mashup of Mahler and the music you would find on the performers’ itunes most played list. From art songs to Symphony No. 4 for Sitar, Tabla, and Electronics, this student-produced concert will break down boundaries—between tradition and innovation, composed and improvised music, performer and audience. There’s no performance etiquette to worry about—with seats in the middle of Brown Hall, the music will unfold around you.
