Yoko Reikano Kimura has performed around the world with a repertoire that ranges from classical Japanese koto/shamisen music to improvisational pieces in contemporary idioms. Hikaru Tamaki, Kimura's husband and principal cellist of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, will join her for this featured presentation. The duo performs regularly in Japan and the United States, building acclaim for their cross-cultural and often thematic programs that feature both western and Japanese styles and compositions.

This event will include an array of contemporary and traditional pieces incorporating elements from the married duo's well established and highly versatile repertoire that has been shared throughout the globe.
