Kashkashian Honored with Golden Bow

The prize, which honors distinguished contributions to the world of strings and highlights the manufacture of violins and bows in Switzerland, was presented to Kashkashian earlier this month at the Meiringen (Switzerland) Music Festival.

The prize, an engraved golden bow, is manufactured by Johannes and Marianne Finkel of the bow workshop Bogenwerkstätte Brienz AG.

Previous winners have included such renowned artists as Thomas Zehetmair, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Leonidas Kavakos, and Natalia Gutman.
