Great artists give free concerts at New England Conservatory—simply because they teach here.

Violinist Julianne Lee, acting assistant concertmaster for the Boston Symphony Orchestra, teaches violin in NEC's Preparatory School and School of Continuing Education. As she does in her other work away from the BSO, Lee switches between violin and viola in this recital. Her accompanist, pianist Susanne Son, is codirector of the Preparatory Division at Bard College Conservatory of Music.
