Mezzo-soprano Jaime Korkos ('11 G.D., '13 A.D.) presents a solo recital in the popular lunchtime series at the Old South Meeting House.
Ms. Korkos entered the Artist Diploma program in Fall 2011. In Fall 2012 she sang the role of Orfeo in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice in NEC's Jordan Hall.
A student of Luretta Bybee, Korkos sang the role of Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni and the title role of La Périchole, as well as the solo part in Mahler's Symphony No. 3, during her previous studies at NEC. Immediately before returning to NEC for the Artist Diploma, she participated in the Gerdine Young Artist Program at Opera Theatre of St. Louis, which allowed her to perform in four operas in a two-month span.
