Ken Schaphorst, chair of NEC's College jazz studies department, founded this Preparatory student jazz orchestra in 2008. After several years of standing-room-only performances at Boston's First Church on Marlborough Street, the group returns to Boston's First Night as part of an afternoon of youth ensembles at the Boston Public Library's Rabb Hall.
