Zoe Christiansen is a multi-instrumentalist and improviser who has taught and performed at klezmer festivals worldwide. She has studied and worked with renowned klezmers Hankus Netsky, Alan Bern, Frank London, and Michael Alpert, and has toured with Daniel Kahn and the Painted Bird Ensemble.
In 2009, Christiansen traveled to Chisinau, Moldova, to study with Marin Bunea and his Lautarii Orchestra members, and collaborated with many other local musicians throughout her European travels.
One of the most sought-after performers and teachers in the modern folk scene, she is also currently a bachelor’s degree candidate at New England Conservatory.
