Peter Moffett is a freelance touring drummer, a member of NEC’s Development staff, and music educator in Boston and Central Massachusetts.
For the past two years, Peter has served in NEC’s fundraising office as a Prospect Researcher. Since graduating from NEC’s Jazz Program in 2010, he has toured the United States and recorded albums – most recently, a September 2013 release by Wilder Maker, Year of Endless Light. Additionally, Peter frequently plays shows in both Boston and New York in various jazz and rock outfits.
As an educator, Peter has been working as a jazz, percussion ensemble, and marching percussion coach in a number of schools in Central Massachusetts for the past four years, and has taught privately in his home for over 10 years. As a member of Jazz Lab’s inaugural faculty and staff, Peter coached an ensemble, taught masterclasses, ear training and private lessons, and served as a resident advisor for overnight students.
