Flutist Kathleen Boyd performs actively in Boston and throughout New England. She plays principal flute with the Boston Philharmonic and with Nashua Symphony. In addition, she is a member of the Rhode Island Philharmonic and performs frequently with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra.
Performances include the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops Orchestras, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, Emmanuel Music, Alea III, Cantata Singers, Boston Lyric Opera, Landmarks Orchestra, Monadnock, Portland, New Hampshire, Albany, Granite State orchestras and others. She has participated in the Festivals at Tanglewood, Bach Aria, Grand Teton, Sandpoint, Operafestival di Roma and Newport, RI.
Previously, Boyd played Principal flute in the Orquesta Filarmonica de Caracas, Venezuela. She has performed concert tours in Spain, England, Rome, St. Petersburg, Russia and Greece.
