Anne Tyson is a versatile collaborative pianist, performing a broad repertoire with both instrumentalists and singers. She is also a dedicated teacher, and joined the NEC Prep faculty in 1989. She taught at Music on the Hill in 2002 and 2003, and from 2008-2012 was music director at Point CounterPoint chamber music camp in Vermont. In addition to maintaining a private piano studio, she coaches singers in French, Italian, German and Czech repertoire, and has also taught at Boston Conservatory, Boston University, the South Shore Conservatory, the Community Music Center of Boston, the Watford School of Music and the City of London School. She has served as coach and rehearsal pianist with opera companies, including the D’Oyly Carte Company and Kent Opera in Great Britain and Boston Lyric Opera and Connecticut Opera in the U.S., and worked as an accompanist at the Académie de Musique Européenne and the Abbaye de Royaumont.
