NEC Contemporary Improvisation presents Film Noir: Diva

For this year’s 14th annual Film Noir Concert, producers Ran Blake and Aaron Hartley feature Jean-Jacques Beineix's Diva, a French thriller centered around a postman's obsession with opera diva Cynthia Hawkins, along with threads of corruption, mistaken-identity, and love.

Contemporary Improvisation (CI) students, faculty, and special guests create new music for the film, working with the original score as well as new pieces, ranging from jazz, folk, pop, and classical genres.

You will hear performances by Eden MacAdam-Somer's CI Chamber Music Ensemble and many other students and faculty from the NEC community.
