NEC says "Thank you, Boston" all year with its "NEC Prep Presents" concerts. Free admission to these concerts by senior Prep ensembles marks our gratitude for the support of the City of Boston and the parents, siblings, schools, and music teachers who make our work possible.

To close the season, the NEC Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and the Youth Symphony play a celebratory shared program--the first time ever. Steven Karidoyanes conducts the YS on the first half and David Loebel leads the YPO on the second half. The Sunday afternoon performance time makes this concert ideal for families!

The program:

William Grant Still: Symphony No. 1 (Afro-American Symphony)
Youth Symphony – Steven Karidoyanes, conductor

Brahms: Symphony No. 4
Wagner: Prelude to Die Meistersinger
Youth Philharmonic Orchestra – David Loebel, conductor

Date: June 1, 2014 - 3:00:PM
Price: Free
