"Absolutely chilling and absolutely exhilarating. It makes you glad to be alive. Eade has never sung better; Blake's at the top of his game."
—Lucid Culture
In a belated celebration of their duo CD Whirlpool, Ran Blake and Dominique Eade team up for a night of duets and noir interplay with music and film.
Since Dominique Eade's days as Ran Blake's student, and New England Conservatory's first Artist Diploma student in Contemporary Improvisation, Eade and Blake are now NEC faculty colleagues. In their third decade of performance and recording collaborations, they continue to captivate audiences and critics. Downbeat magazine gave Whirlpool 4 and 1/2 stars and named it as one of 2012's best CDs. Blake and Eade will perform repertoire from Whirlpool and beyond.
Tickets are $20 and available through Scullers.
