NEC Improvisation Festival

New England Conservatory celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Contemporary Improvisation department with a series of events in New York in March 2013.

Curated by Anthony Coleman and Ashley Paul, this Improvisation Festival will feature performances by NEC alumni Matt Darriau, Frank London, Ashley Paul, Cuddle Magic, Mat Maneri, Andrew Hock, Judith Berkson, and more.

This marathon jam will run till midnight, so you can arrive or leave as early or late as you wish and still take in a healthy serving of improvised music!

Barbes

$10 (very strongly) suggested donation. Please make sure to bring a valid ID.

From Manhattan, take the last car of the F train to 7th Avenue, Brooklyn.
Exit at the southwest corner exit.
Make a U-turn and walk downhill on 9th Street towards 6th Avenue.
Barbès is on your left at 376 9th Street, a couple of stores in from the corner of 6th Avenue.
