A Message From the Director:

Welcome to Boston GuitarFest 2012, the 7th annual meeting of its kind, a gathering made possible by our two great supporting educational institutions, New England Conservatory and Northeastern University, by the generosity of our sponsors, the enthusiasm of our audience, the many talents of our course and contest participants and of course by our wonderful artists, who come from every corner of the world.

It has been enormously gratifying to me to see the steady growth of the festival since its inception in 2006 and to see its goal of organizing a major guitar event within a bigger, overarching, cross disciplinary perspective slowly take hold. Today we can really say that Boston GuitarFest is one of the world's leading guitar festivals. We hope you will be delighted, inspired and moved by this week of great music making, teaching, and exchange of ideas and that we will see you all again soon...at the latest Boston GuitarFest 2012!
