Great artists give free concerts at New England Conservatory, simply because they teach here.

The Boston Trio is a chamber ensemble-in-residence at the NEC Preparatory School, where two of the members also teach studio lessons. All three of the current group members are NEC alumnae. Violinist Irina Muresanu joined the trio in 2002, and cellist Denise Djokic joined in 2011. The group was originally formed in 1997 with pianist Heng-Jin Park.

The Program:

Faure Piano Trio in D Minor
Mozart Piano Quartet in G Minor (with the violist winner of the Boston Trio competition)
Brahms Piano Trio No. 2, in C Major

Date: March 4, 2012 - 8:00:PM
Price: Free
Location: NEC’s Jordan Hall
