Fresh from a standing room only run performing its cycle of the Beethoven String Quartets at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, NEC's Ensemble-in-Residence the Borromeo String Quartet is bringing a selection of them to NEC.  With the "Fishbowl" series, the Borromeo Quartet will perform Beethoven Quartets during early evening concerts over three consecutive days. Following the performance with a brief Question and Answer session. In keeping with their normal performance routine, The Quartet will project the scores they are playing from on a large screen, in certain cases, using Beethoven's manuscript. This unique set up allows concert goers the opportunity to deepen their knowledge, or to give newcomers a chance to get introduced to these masterworks.

The works played on these concerts will be Op. 18, No. 3 and 6, Op. 95, Op. 59, No. 1 and Op. 132 and 133

Be sure to join us for the other "Fishbowl" concerts October 31 and November 1.
