Timothy Oesau ’95 is now a certified music therapist (MT-BC) and is working in the hospice field in Minnesota.  Timothy studied composition at NEC. 2011-05-02

 

Mei-Ann Chen '95, '98 M.M., Violin Performance, Conducting Mei-Ann Chen ’95, ’98 M.M. was appointed Music Director of the Memphis Symphony this year.  She is filling post left by David Loebel who is the new Associate Director of Orchestras at NEC.  Mei-Ann was the first New England Conservatory student to Receive Double Master's Degrees in Violin and Conducting and the first woman to win the Malko International Conductors Competition in 2005. 2010-09-03

 

 

 

Susanna Perry Gilmore '95 M.M., Violin Performance Susanna Perry Gilmore ’95 M.M. recently had a role in the independent Lithuanian film, Narcissus.  A google search led the filmmakers to her picture on the Memphis Symphony’s website, and they invited her to audition for the supporting role of “Lea,” a foreign female musician.  The film will be released in Spring 2011 in Lithuania.  Off screen, as concertmistress of the Memphis Symphony, Susanna is involved in helping symphony chamber groups develop innovative, interactive programs, including offerings such as a leadership training seminar for business executives.  Susanna was also featured in a recent Symphony Magazine article which discussed the program Opus One, in which Memphis Symphony musicians organize and present, without a conductor, alternative concert offerings in non-concert hall venues.  When not working as a classical violinist or actress, Susanna plays the Irish fiddle with her husband Barry in the band Planet Reel and spends time with her two daughters Katy and Zoe. 2010-09-01
