Just in: ASCAP Awards
Nathan Shields '06, Kathryn Salfelder '09, and Derek David '10 M.M. (current D.M.A. student) are all receipients of the 2012 Morton Gould Young Composer Award presented by the ASCAP Foundation. Anna Larsen, age 12 a NEC prep student, was also selected.
"The ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Awards program provides recognition and cash awards to gifted young composers of Concert Music. There were nearly 670 submissions this year and our dedicated jury selected 29 composers between the ages of 12 to 29 years of age.

Rosalind Elias '51, '82 Hon, mezzo-soprano, makes her debut on Broadway in the revivial of "Follies" as Heidi Schiller.
