Youth Chorale is open to advanced SATB singers, grades 9–12. Entrance is by audition only. Once students have been accepted in to the Youth Chorale, they can audition in the fall for placement in Youth Camerata, a highly advanced ensemble comprised of SATB singers who are members of the Youth Chorale.

Chorus Audition Information
The NEC Prep Choral Program holds auditions each May for the following academic year. We begin scheduling May auditions in March of each year. To sign up for a May audition, click here.
For those admitted into the choral program, placements auditions are held in early September. Additional entrance auditions may be held in the Fall, on a space availability basis only. Please submit an Absence Request Form to the Student Chorus Manager or Peter Bianca, Concert Ensemble Manager. Requests need to be submitted at least two weeks before the date of absence. We urge you to submit requests as soon as you know about them so that there is plenty of time for them to be approved. All absences must be approved by the NEC Prep Office, prior to the absence date.

- Print and hand deliver to the Prep Office at 241 St. Botolph Street, Room SB 120.
- Scan and e-mail to the Student Chorus Manager
