NEC’s Institutional Master Plan heralds a new vision of the campus, calling for major construction and improvements including a new residence hall, a new, unified library, more practice and rehearsal spaces, and a much-needed student and community center. Other projects feature the creation of an opera performance space, new recording studios and editing rooms, multi-media spaces, a jazz club, and an expanded electronic music studio. These priorities follow the successful $22 million renovation of the Conservatory's four existing buildings, which addressed significant deferred maintenance issues.

When completed, NEC's campus will up to the standard of our most priceless physical asset, Jordan Hall; more important, our facilities will at last be worthy of the academic and musical excellence of our students and faculty.
