Journey on the Danube
Saturday, February 21, 2015
Fairmont Copley Plaza
NEC's Annual Scholarship Fundraising Gala, "A Feast of Music 2015", will celebrate the glorious Danube River, as it flows through some of the most musically rich areas of Europe! From the refined elegance of Mozart, the clear beauty of Dvorak, to the passion of Liszt, this year's Feast will feature virtuoso performances of works by composers from the Danube Region, as performed by NEC's young artists, paired with sumptuous courses of fine cuisine and wines from the region.
A Feast of Music has been acknowledged by the Improper Bostonian as elegantly decadent and flawless. The Boston Globe calls it a tuneful evening. The Beacon Hill Times raves about its spectacular cuisine, fine wines, and virtuoso musical performances. It also celebrates a great cause: the education of musicians. This gala event brings together 450 of the city’s most prominent business leaders, music lovers, and cultural philanthropists to benefit New England Conservatory’s general scholarship fund.
