Theodore Lettvin (1927–2003) was a member of the NEC piano faculty from 1968 to 1977. Following his 1948 Naumburg Award and debut at that year’s Ravinia Festival, Lettvin went on to perform throughout the world in concert, and over the airwaves on the “Bell Telephone Hour” and “The Voice of Firestone.” University of Maryland houses the Theodore Lettvin Collection, containing materials ranging from correspondence and other writings to private recordings.
