Entrepreneurial Musicianship; Performance and Communication
An actor, director, and teaching artist, Eric Weiss has worked with a broad range of students and communities. Having served as a public speaking coach in The Entrepreneurial Musician, Weiss now joins the EM faculty to lead a new course dedicated to presentation skills, titled Performance and Communication.
His performance work includes five years as a member of The Rhythmics, an elite team of presenters and performers for the corporate world with clients such as MLB, Vanguard, Nike, Microsoft, and AT&T.
Eric has also served as a scriptwriter, curriculum consultant, producer, actor, and director with True To Life, a training company that uses theatre to teach management, leadership, and communication.
His favorite stage work includes Crave at the Nora Theatre Company in Boston and The After Dinner Joke, a Monsterless Actors, Inc. production that won “Best Production” from the Off-Off-Broadway Review in New York. Eric holds a degree in Acting from Syracuse University and an MA in Theatre Education from Emerson College where he has taught in the Department of Performing Arts for 14 years and serves as the Performing Arts Admission Coordinator.
