What is EM?

Founded in 2010, NEC's Entrepreneurial Musicianship (EM) program aims to equip students with the extra-musical skills needed for success after NEC.

EM hosts myriad opportunities for experiential learning, including:

  • entrepreneurial grants
  • courses
  • workshops
  • performance projects
  • internship & fellowship opportunities
  • and an advisor network.

Additionally, students have access to Bridge: Worldwide Music Connection, NEC’s online database for ongoing opportunities in music, and the Music Referral Service, a clearinghouse for paid gigs in Boston and beyond.
