Our Partnerships

In an effort to promote ongoing relationships within the Boston community, NEC has developed many partnerships with civic, social service and arts organizations.  Through these partnerships, NEC students perform multiple programs throughout the year in order to develop long-term relationships.  Our community partners range from nursing homes, homeless shelters and libraries to Boston Public Schools, YMCA Youth programs and community centers in underserved neighborhoods.  Many of our partnering organizations are located in the vicinity of NEC, allowing for true “good neighbor” relationships to develop.  NEC students frequently perform in:

  • Schools
  • Pre-schools/Daycare Centers
  • Senior Care Facilities
  • Hospitals
  • Community Centers
  • Homeless Shelters
  • Museums
  • Libraries
  • Historic Landmarks

Partnerships are designed collaboratively with the mutual needs of NEC students and partnering organization in mind.  For more information regarding partnership opportunities with the Community Performances and Partnerships Program at New England Conservatory, please contact:

What Our Partners Are Saying

"Your support will touch the lives of so many women who look to us for not just for support but also enrichment through our arts program.  Music is a wonderful medium for all of our guests to share in together.  I look forward to working with you to have other performances for our guests.  On behalf of all of us at Rosie's Place, thank you for remembering the work we do and the women we serve.  It is heartwarming to know that we have your support." - Alev Danis, Rosie's Place for Homeless Women

"The performance of the Touring Children's Opera was engaging, high quality, and developmentally appropriate.  The most memorable part of the performance was seeing our students' faces as they watched the show.  They were engaged and enthralled by the music, costumes, and storyline.  They had wonderful comments and reflections following the performance.  This is a wonderful program and we feel fortunate to have it at our school.  BRAVO!" - Pampa Rotolo, Conservatory Lab Charter School

"This is a wonderful program that enriches our students' experience with instruments and music.  Every performance has been a success.  The NEC students are engaging and knowledgeable; the staff is a delight to work with when scheduling the program and during the performance.  We really appreciate the opportunity to be a partner in this program." - Regina Nazzaro, Russell J. Call Children's Center, Northeastern University

"Our partnership with the NEC staff and students is one of the most satisfying ones that I have had with an organization in our Boston community.  I have nothing but praise for the persons at NEC with whom we have contact.  We are lucky at Hale House to continue to benefit from NEC and its student music outreach program.  Bringing beautiful music to our residents enhances their lives and enriches their spirits.  It cannot be underestimated how the combination of both young students and incredible music brought to our doorstep helps to nourish and uplift the souls of many in our community.  I thank each of you once again." - Lisa Wexler, Hale House
