Applicants are considered for admission based on a review of audition results, overall academic history, artistic preparation, and letters of recommendation.
NEC accepts applications for fall (September) admission into all majors and degree programs. Fall applicants must submit the online application by December 1.
As described in the Audition Requirements, some programs require a prescreening recording.

Applications for spring (January) admission are accepted on a space-available basis. Students interested in applying for the spring semester should contact the Admissions Office about anticipated openings before submitting an application.
