Paolo Susanni '93, '96 M.M.. is currently teaching Piano Music Theory and Music History as an Asstistant Professor in Turkey. He received a doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin and taught at Texas State University for seven years.  He has published two books with Routledge (NY), one of which will be out in March, several papers in national and international journals and has maintained a regular concert career as soloist and chamber musician. 2012-01-26



Ferdinand Thieriot: Chamber Music Vol. 1Violinist Ian Mardon ’93 M.M. recently released, with his ensemble the Hamburg Chamber Players, a new CD of the chamber music works of forgotten German composer and close Brahms friend, Ferdinand Thieriot.  He is now the artistic director of Hamburg, Germany’s oldest running chamber music series, the Altonaer Kammerkonzerte, where with the Hamburg Chamber Players, they will play 6 concerts a year in the Altonaer Museum. 2010-09-03



Erin Vadala ’93 M.M. was promoted to the position of Vice President at Warner Communications. Previous to working for Warner, Erin was Public Relations Manager of Aspen Technology. She has also served as volunteer Media Director for the Newburyport Choral Society. Erin lives in South Hamilton, Mass. 2009-08-13

Deborah Boldin '93 G.D. Flute Performance, and the Chameleon Arts EnsembleIn their tenth season, the Boston-based Chameleon Arts Ensemble under the artistic direction of Deborah Boldin '93 G.D. recently won the CMA/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming in the Chamber Ensembles - Mixed Repertory category. This is the second time in three years that the group has received this honor. Deborah recently told the Boston Globe that she thinks of programming, "...like assembling a multi-course meal, or sculpting something...Every single piece of music in a Chameleon series is something that I believe in 100 percent. And once it's in a program I can't imagine it anywhere else." Of the ensemble's 14 members besides Deborah, 9 are NEC alumni including: pianist Gloria Chien '99, '01 M.M.,'04 D.M.A., oboist Nancy Dimock '94 M.M., clarinetist Gary Gorczyca '93, violinist Joanna Kurkowicz '98 A.D., soprano Sabrina Learman '91 M.M., '96 G.D., clarinetist Kelli O’Connor '94 M.M., cellist Rafael Popper-Keizer '98 A.D., violist Scott Woolweaver and trombonist and Managing Director Gabriel Langfur '94 M.M. 2/19/09

Dr. Sundar Viswanathan '93 M.M. Jazz PerformanceSundar Viswanathan '93 M.M. is working on a new record in which he sings and plays sax. The record is due to be released this year. After NEC, Sundar earned his Ph.D. from New York University and is currently Assistant Professor of Music at York University. Sundar recently married and moved into a new house in Brampton, Ontario. 2/19/09
